Description

Baker McKenzie Hong Kong will run Summer Clerkship programmes in June and July 2021. This is a comprehensive four week programme and aims to give students the opportunity of experiencing first hand what it is like to work at the Firm. In addition to getting to know the Firm's culture, vacation clerks will participate in the training programme available to trainees and junior lawyers, and be exposed to the type of work typically undertaken by them.

The clerkship programme is the main pathway into securing a training contract with the Firm, as clerks who perform well during the programme will be selected to join our Hong Kong office as trainee solicitors after they have completed their legal studies and their Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (P.C.LL). Participation is therefore mandatory for those seeking a 2023 training contract.

To apply, candidates should be in their penultimate year of study of their law degree programme, have strong academic results, fluent Chinese language skills (written and spoken) and be firmly committed to establishing a legal career in Hong Kong.
