Role Purpose
This role plays a crucial role in shaping the future talent pipeline by developing and implementing graduate recruitment strategies to attract high-potential candidates. This role will primarily manage and administer end-to-end graduate recruitment-related matters for the Firm. The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Partners and Head of Talent Management to determine our graduate recruitment strategy and contribute to the overall Firm strategy. To implement the strategy effectively, this role will build and maintain strong relationships with graduates, universities, and relevant student organizations.
Additionally, this role is integral to supporting various HR functions, ensuring that HR policies, procedures, and programs are administered efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
Graduate Recruitment
- Oversee the entire recruitment process for trainees and interns, from initial applications, including application screening, online interviews, and Clerkship Day, to extending offers for the Summer Clerkship and Trainee Programmes
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the Trainee, Summer Clerkship, and Internship Programmes, including supervision, coaching, feedback communication, and rotation planning
- Coordinate and participate in career fairs, law school events, and Firm open houses to attract top talents
- Organize and supervise the Firm’s Trainee Programme, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage the annual admission process for all trainees.
- Coordinate with relevant regulatory bodies, including The Law Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong High Court, regarding regulatory requirements and the admission process
- Address internal and external queries related to graduate recruitment
- Prepare appointment letters and admission documentation as needed
General Talent Management Operations
- Responsible for administrating Hong Kong Law Society (HKLS) reporting submissions, Hong Kong Practicing Certificate applications, Annual Return etc.
- Provide administrative and logistic support to the Talent Management department in the provision of a full spectrum of HR related functions.
- Work collaboratively with other HR function teams
- Conduct new joiner induction
About The Candidate
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a legal or related professional services environment
- Demonstrable experience working directly with senior counterparts on strategy and execution
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Fluency across spoken and written Cantonese, English and Mandarin
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Flexible, adaptable and a fast learner
