The Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our Construction practice group in Sydney.
The Team
Our national Construction Group works collaboratively, sharing resources across our three national offices on domestic and international projects. We also work closely with our major projects, renewables and commercial real estate teams.
You will work
- on high profile transactions for developers, principals, governments, contractors, major subcontractors and leading consultants both locally and internationally; and
- closely with a variety of other advisers on major projects which enable us to understand and address non-legal issues that arise in projects such as financial and technical issues.
Our national Construction Group provides legal services in respect to domestic and international project types such as:
- Rail & Road
- Energy, Renewables and Power
- Transport and Infrastructure
- Defence
- Telecommunications
- Commercial Offices, Hotels, Retail, and Industrial
- Major Residential
- Telecommunications, Software, and Technology
What we're looking for -
We are seeking a 6+ year Construction lawyer with:
- back-end Construction experience
- strong academic qualifications
- relevant experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred;
- a strong client service orientation;
- strong technical, drafting and commercial skills;
- business development aptitude, interest, and experience;
- relevant legal qualifications;
- excellent analytical, communication, and research skills;
- a commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail;
- an ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity;
- an ability to develop strong relationships with clients and to take responsibility for this relationship;
- an ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally);
- a willingness to learn; and
- a willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences
