Marta Zuliamis

Marta has extensive experience across a broad spectrum in the areas of banking and finance. She regularly advises German, Austrian and foreign banks, financial institutions and corporates on banking and finance law matters, with a focus on trade and export finance and other structured finance matters. She also has significant experience in acquisition finance, project finance, securitization as well as regulatory and capital markets law matters.

• Advised DZ BANK and DenizBank on a EUR 164 million Hermes-covered financing of an H2O-capable dual gas plant in Uzbekistan to Cenergo, a group company of Cengiz Enerji, one of Türkiye’s leading energy companies. (Proximo Asia-Pacific Energy Deal of the Year 2025)
• Advised the lenders with ING as lead bank on a project financing for a soda ashplant of the Yildirim Group in Kazakhstan with one Sinosure-covered and two commercial financing tranches based on a Common Terms Agreement and an Intercreditor Agreement with a comprehensive collateral package. Export Finance Deal of the Year 2024 and Corporate Syndicated Loan Deal of the Year 2024 (Global Banking & Markets CEE, CIS & Türkiye 2024 Awards)
• Advised ING and DZ BANK on a Hermes and Sinosure-covered EUR 356 million green loan financing to Modern Karton (part of the Eren Group) for a paper production plant in Turkey with a bank guarantee from Ziraat Bank. (Structured Finance Deal of the Year 2023 | Bonds, Loans and ESG Capital Markets CEE, CIS and Türkiye 2023)
• Advised, among others, ING Bank in relation to a multi-sourced financing comprising of UKEF-covered, SACE-covered and commercial facility agreements to Gemlik Gübre Sanayii A.Ş in connection with the implementation of a new Urea Plant and Urea Ammonium Nitrate plant in the Gemlik District of Bursa, Türkiye. (Natural Resources Finance Deal of the Year 2022)
• Advised a German bank and an Austrian bank in connection with an OeKB covered export financing for a Turkish infrastructure company as borrower under OeKB’s “shopping line” program.
• Advised Deutsche Bank AG on the EUR 60 million bilateral Hermes-covered financing for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Nigeria in connection with the Nigerian Presidential Power Initiative (PPI) for the implementation of a stable power grid in Nigeria.
• Advised a major German bank on the Hermes-covered syndicated financing and a bilateral commercial facility for the Ministry of Finance of Angola for a road project.
• Advised a major German bank on a SERV-covered financing and a commercial facility for the Ministry of Finance of Angola for an electrification project.
• Advised Commerzbank and UniCredit as lead banks on the EUR 1.5 billion Euler Hermes-backed facility to the Ministry of Finance of Angola for Angola’s Caculo Cabaca hydro-electric power (HEP) project, with Voith as German supplier of the turbines for the power plant. • Advised various German banks in relation to several ECA-backed financings to sovereign borrowers in relation to projects in Africa and Asia.
• Advised a Spanish bank in respect of the securitisation of a German auto loans portfolio.
• Advised an Austrian bank on various securitisations of consumer loan and auto loan receivables in Austria.
• Advised various German, French, Japanese and US banks as joint lead managers on various securitization transactions of German auto loans and auto leases.
• Advised various German banks on various multijurisdictional trade receivables securitization transactions.
