Queenie Yiu
Biography
Queenie is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team based in London. She represents clients in high-value, multi-party disputes including commercial litigation and international arbitration relating to various industries, including financial services, construction and wealth management.
As part of her training contract, Queenie also spent six months on client secondment at British American Tobacco in the litigation team.

Representative Legal Matters
- Advising on a multi-party litigation arising in connection with a substantial settlement and subsidence that has occurred at a printing facility.
- Acting for the Kuwaiti State Legal Department and two emanations of the State of Kuwait in connection with a fraud claim worth USD 150 million.
- Acting for a leading newspaper on a privacy and data protection claim brought by US-based high profile individuals in the High Court of England and Wales.
- Acting for a global energy company in LCIA proceedings commenced by an African bank in relation to alleged breaches of an offtake agreement.
- Advising the subsidiary of a large Latin American financial services group on forex forward contracts entered into and the close out of its positions.
- Advising an ultra-high-net-worth client in his global litigation to recover assets worth over USD 10 billion presently held by trustees, individuals and companies in multiple jurisdictions.

Corporate Responsibility
Queenie has worked on a number of pro bono matters, including volunteering at the Legal Advice Centre and providing project management support to Amicus (a charity that gives legal advice to individuals on death row in the USA). She has also worked with PILnet in creating a guide for Ukrainian refugees navigating the UK system; PILnet is a global NGO that connects organisations with high quality legal services to protect vulnerable people and communities around the world.
