Biography

Catherine is a senior associate in Baker McKenzie's IP and commercial team. Her practice encompasses a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious aspects of IP, technology and commercial law, with a particular focus on brand protection, enforcement matters, and transactional IP. She advises a variety of clients in the luxury and fashion, Consumer Goods & Retail, technology and digital industries on trade mark, design and copyright issues, and also regularly advises clients on platform liability and copyright in the digital space.

Catherine has obtained significant industry experience having been seconded to two global key clients of the Firm; the first a multinational FMCG company, and the second a multinational technology company. During these secondments Catherine supported on general commercial contracts as well as on content licensing, marketing and consumer matters.

Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 2018 and is based in the London office. She is an Associate Representative within the Baker McKenzie employee forum. She is also heavily involved in the Firm's pro bono offering; she is the Pro Bono Coordinator within her team and has featured on the Pro Bono Recognition List in both 2024 and 2025.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advising a multinational FMCG company in respect of acquisitions, disposal and licensing of personal care and food brands.
  • Advised Puig on its multijurisdictional acquisition of Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics GmbH.
  • Advised Bain Capital and its portfolio company Kantar on the sale of the Kantar Media business.
  • Providing detailed advice on intermediary liability, copyright and counterfeit laws to the world's leading social media platforms.
  • Leading and coordinating a global anti-counterfeiting program for a multinational technology company.
  • Representing a market leading personal care company in high value patent litigation.
  • Advising a global luxury fashion brand on brand protection issues with respect to Generative AI.
