Biography
James Wilson has advised the world’s largest multinational corporations on complex cross-border tax matters for over two decades. A former chair of the Firm’s Global Tax practice group, he concentrates on international tax planning and dispute resolution issues with an emphasis on multijurisdictional group reorganizations and restructurings. Practice Focus
James practices in the area of, and advises on, all aspects of UK corporate and commercial tax, across a broad range of industry sectors. Given his location in Washington DC, he has a particular focus on “trans-Atlantic” cross-border tax issues impacting US and UK headquartered multinational businesses.

- Advising Equinix, Inc. on the creation of a USD 3.9 billion joint venture with GIC to develop and operate 18 xScale data centres across EMEA and South and Central America.
- Advising Equinix, Inc. on its USD 1 billion joint venture with GIC to develop and operate xScale data centres in Europe.
- Advising Carnival Corporation & plc on the tax aspects of the simplification of its corporate structure from a dual-listed company with shares trading separately in New York and London to a single company, Carnival Corporation Ltd.
- Advising a publicly-traded brand owner in the luxury industry on the planning, execution and post-acquisition integration of multiple significant acquisitions.
