Biography

Thilo von Brandenstein is an associate in the Employment & Compensation practice group in the Frankfurt office of Baker McKenzie. He studied law with a focus on labor law at Justus Liebig University Giessen and previously completed a degree in business law (LL.B.) at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences Wolfenbüttel where he gained comprehensive insights into economic and HR-related matters.

In May 2023, Thilo joined Baker McKenzie as a research assistant and has been working as an associate since April 2026. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Thilo worked as a research assistant experienced in labor law at another international business law firm. He completed his legal clerkship and second state examination at the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main. During his legal clerkship, Thilo worked at Baker McKenzie in Tokyo.

Practice Focus

Thilo advises national and international clients in all areas of individual and collective labor law, with a particular focus on restructurings and employment law aspects of transactions. He also represents clients in labor court proceedings.
