Biography

Jacob is a senior associate in the corporate team based in London. He trained at the Firm and has completed secondments with bp and Kantar.

Jacob is also the London Private Equity and Funds team's pro bono coordinator and holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law & Practice.

Practice Focus

Jacob's practice focuses on corporate matters, with a particular specialism in advising sponsors in the infrastructure and TMT sectors. This has included global reorganisations, carve-outs and acquisitions and divestments by private equity, listed, and private clients. A large proportion of his work is also in relation to cross-border or multinational transactions.

 

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised Gulf Data Hub on its strategic partnership with KKR to expand one of the largest data centre platforms in the Middle East.
  • Advised the owners of JLW, a leading Middle East services contractor specializing in data center projects, on its sale to Al Awael Modern Contracting Co., part of Al Rashed Group.
  • Advised Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. on the USD 6.5 billion disposal of its Alliance Healthcare businesses, including the carve-out and reorganisation of that business pre-sale.
  • Advised Medtronic plc on the carve-out and spin-off of MiniMed Group, Inc., its global diabetes business.
  • Advised Apax Partners LLP on its carve-out acquisition of Teciem, Finastra’s global treasury and capital management business.
  • Advised Kantar on the carve-out sales of its global Public consulting, Reputational Intelligence and Healthcare analytics businesses.
  • Advised ZCCM Investments Holdings on its USD 1.1 billion partnership with International Resources Holding in respect of investment into Mopani Copper Mines plc.
  • Advised KKR on its acquisition of a majority stake in FGS Global.
  • Advised Accenture on its acquisition of Carbon Intelligence, a London-based carbon emissions consultancy.
  • Advised CoreMedia on its acquisition of the BySide Group, a Portuguese and Brazilian marketing and sales consultancy.
  • Advised FSN Capital on the sale of the EET Group, a multinational electronic goods reseller.
  • Advised Devolver Digital on its acquisition of a multinational games developer.
