Biography

Kata is a senior associate in the firm’s global Private Equity team. Kata completed a nine-month secondment in Equinix, Inc.'s xScale legal team, advising on cross border joint ventures and M&A legal work. Kata has also participated in the firm’s associate training program and spent six months in Baker McKenzie's Chicago office. 

Practice Focus

Kata’s practice is focused on cross border mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and restructurings for private equity funds, infrastructure funds, digital infrastructure and corporate clients. Kata also has experience in representing management teams in respect of their equity incentive structures.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised KKR in connection with a USD 4.3 billion investment deal in multinational cosmetics and beauty company Coty Inc.
  • Advised Equinix, Inc. on its USD 3.9 billion joint venture with GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, to develop and operate 17 xScale data centers across EMEA and South and Central America.
  • Advised Equinix, Inc. on its USD 1 billion joint venture with GIC in relation to the development and operation of hyperscale data centres in Europe.
  • Advised Equinix, Inc. on its USD600m JV with PGIM.
  • Advised the selling shareholders of MagicLab on their USD 3 billion sale of the MagicLab group (comprising dating apps Bumblee, Badoo, Lumen and Chappy) to Blackstone.
  • Advised Cellnex Telecom on Stonepeak's acquisition of a 49% interest in Cellnex Nordics.
  • Advised digital infrastructure company, Colt Technology Services on the entry into an exclusive arrangement for the proposed acquisition of Lumen Technologies' EMEA business for USD 1.8 billion.
  • Advised Fiera Infrastructure in respect of its growth capital investment into Inalan, the Greek based fibre-to-the-home internet service provider.
  • Acted for the majority sellers of F&W Networks on the sale of their minority stake in the company.
  • Advised Core Equity on the acquisition of leading dental practices in Norway and the United Kingdom.
  • Acted for HIG Capital on its acquisition of leading UK pharmaceuticals business, Aspire Pharma Ltd.
  • Advised Bluegem Capital Partners on its acquisition of France-based Beaba Group, the childcare and baby-related products business, from Bridgepoint and others.
