Biography

Jeanne Song is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Transactional Group in the Firm’s Chicago office.

Jeanne has been with the Firm since she first joined as a summer associate in 2018. Jeanne is the Chicago office chair of Baker Asian Legal Network as well as a member of the Chicago Hiring Committee and the Chicago Associates Committee.

In 2024-2025, Jeanne also worked in the Firm’s London office as part of the Private Equity Funds group.

Practice Focus

Jeanne advises private-equity funds and multinational companies on global and domestic mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, divestitures, corporate restructurings and minority investments.

  • Advised AURELIUS and its portfolio company, Minova, in the acquisition of Platipus Anchors, a UK and US-based manufacturer of earth anchoring systems.
  • Advised One Equity Partners and its portfolio company, ORS Medco, in the sale of industrial MRO supply business.
  • Advised One Equity Partners and its portfolio company, AMECO, in the acquisition of F&M Mafco, a leading industrial tool and equipment provider.
  • Advised Highlander Partners, L.P. and its portfolio company, High Point Aerotechnologies, in the acquisition of Flex Force Enterprises, a specialized drone defense and countermeasure technology firm.
  • Advised Arxada, a portfolio company of Bain Capital and Cinven, in the acquisition of Enviro Tech Chemical.
  • Advised Arxada, a portfolio company of Bain Capital and Cinven, in the divestiture of hydrazine business.
  • Advised Edelman Financial Engines, a leading independent financial planning and investment management firm, in the acquisition of Align Wealth Management.
  • Advised Spirax-Sarco Engineering, a thermal energy management and niche pumping specialist, in the acquisition of Durex International Corporation.
  • Advised Hassana Investment Company in its Series D and Series E investments in a fintech company.
  • Advised a US-based public pharmaceutical company in its divestiture of global informatics business.
  • Advised a US-based medical devices company in its 40-country post-acquisition integration.
  • Advised a US-based data and market measurement company in its spin-off of data and analytics branch.
