Michael Saalfeld
Biography
Michael Saalfeld is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Munich office and a member of the firm's Information Technology Practice Group. He advises on all aspects of information technology law, including AI regulation, data law, cyber compliance and IT contract law. Before joining the firm, he worked, inter alia, as an IT law researcher at a leading global law firm, as a legal trainee in the digital policy departments of the European Commission, the Federal Chancellery of Germany and the German Ministry for Economics and Climate Action, and as a press trainee at the German Embassy to the United States of America in Washington D.C. He studied law in Germany and completed international studies in India and Japan.
Practice Focus
Michael advises national and international clients especially from the technology, automotive & mobility and health sectors on all aspects of information technology law. His practice includes advising on AI regulation, data protection, cybersecurity legislation, cyber- and data-related incident response, platform regulation, as well as e-commerce and IT contract law.
