
Alessia Raimondo
Biography
Alessia Raimondo is a lawyer professionally qualified under the laws of Italy (enrolled with the Lawyers’ Bar of Milan), with twenty five years' experience in all areas of labor and employment law, commercial agency, employment litigation and immigration law.
She joined the Milan office of Baker McKenzie in October 2000, after a first period of post-graduation apprenticeship in the practice of law (mainly in labour law and in international commercial law) at Studio Legale Lehoczky Colombo Milan Office.
Practice Focus
She has acquired consolidated experience in dealing with national and multinational clients as to the main areas of employment law. Her legal expertise is based on three main pillars:
- M&A and reorg transactions: She coordinates the team dedicated to the employment workflow of M&A and reorg transactions and post-closing activities. In this role she manages DD activities, takes care of any information and consultation with the unions, conducts the negotiations with employees, manages contractual harmonization and any related employment dispute. She also supports clients in post-closing reorg activities, including the drafting and the negotiations of management agreements.
- Employment law: She provides HR managers and company legal affair offices with day-to-day strategic consultancy in the management of the workforce. She is skilled in: drafting different types of employment contracts for employees, regardless of their level of classification and position and consultancy agreements; negotiating termination and settlement agreements; managing employment judicial disputes, individual dismissals, collective dismissals procedures and restructuring procedures; drafting and revising company policies and procedures, company guidelines and codes of ethics; following disciplinary procedures; drafting of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements; employee’s intellectual property rights; revising variable compensation/bonus plans; compliance issues and internal investigations.
- Experience in agency agreements: She has also developed a niche expertise in commercial agency law. She drafts agency agreement specifically tailored based on the related industry sector, she assists clients in terminating agency relationships and in negotiating settlement agreements, she manages judicial disputes and supports clients in the calculating the amounts of termination indemnities and compensation for the obligations not to compete.
