Biography

Antoine Preux joined Baker McKenzie in Paris in January 2022.

Antoine is an associate in the Information Technology and Communications team and focuses on data protection, new technologies, IT, outsourcing, telecommunications agreements and internet-related matters

Before joining the Firm, Antoine filled intern positions at a major French company of the video game industry as well as in both French and American top-tier law firms.

Practice Focus

Antoine's practice covers the full range of Information Technology legal areas, with a focus on contracts, data protection, Internet and telecommunications. Antoine has experience in advising companies from diversified sectors (banking, insurance, transportation, telecom, energy, retail, among others) across all aspects of major commercial contracts, sourcing and complex procurement transactions, regulation of data and networks, e-business and IT security and telecommunications.

Antoine notably advises clients in the field of data protection, both in relation to compliance and litigation. He has assisted several clients before the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) Sanction Committee.

Antoine also assists clients in the drafting and negotiation of various IT agreements (outsourcing, licensing, systems integration, IT services, among others).

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised a global company on a complex data protection litigation before the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

  • Advised global companies on data protection compliance matters such as review of privacy policies, preparation of data protection impact assessment, assistance on transfers of personal data, drafting of data retention policies, among others.

  • Assisted market leaders in the banking sector in the drafting and negotiation of complex agreements in the context of large IT projects (such as global outsourcing projects in technology, business processing and telecommunications).

  • Advised market leaders in the automobile industry on on data protection compliance matters, notably in the context of autonomous driving and geolocation.
