Valentine Petitjean
Biography
Valentine Petitjean is a member of Baker McKenzie's public law / environment team in Paris. She practices public law, more specifically in public contract law and administrative litigation, environmental law, urban planning, and regulated activities (energy law, audiovisual law).
Valentine has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2024. She joined Baker McKenzie in 2024, after initially working in a French law firm’s public business law practice. Prior to that, she completed various internships at Anglo-Saxon and French law firms (for ten and six months, respectively) and in various companies (EDF for six months, RESAH for one year).
Practice Focus
Valentine Petitjean advises French and international clients, both public and private sector entities, on a broad range of public law and environmental law matters, in both advisory and litigation contexts. Her practice focuses primarily on the procurement and performance of public contracts, the management of contaminated land and industrial sites subject to environmental regulations, as well as the development, commissioning, and operation of energy infrastructure projects.
She also regularly assists clients in the context of mergers and acquisitions, advising on the environmental and regulatory risks and issues associated with transactions.
