Biography

Liang Jun is a local principal in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice in the Singapore office.

Liang Jun advises multinational corporations and private equity funds on cross-border and domestic M&A transactions and joint ventures. Liang Jun also regularly advises on corporate reorganisations, carve-outs and spin-offs, as well as general corporate matters.

  • Advised a private real estate fund managed by one of the largest global asset managers on the formation of a joint venture with a Singapore mainboard listed real estate developer in Singapore, and advised the joint venture as international lead counsel on its acquisition of certain securities instruments in a real estate development in Singapore.
  • Advised Resulticks, a Singapore-headquartered tech start-up with operations in Singapore, India and the US, on its USD 1.5 billion acquisition by Diginex Limited, a NASDAQ-listed ESG regulatory technology business incorporated in the Cayman Islands.
  • Advised Wipro Limited, a leading listed Indian multinational company, on its acquisition of IT and digital services business Mindsprint from the Olam Group.
  • Advised Shell on the successful auction sale of its Energy and Chemicals Park assets located on Bukom and Jurong Islands in Singapore to CAPGC Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between Chandra Asri Capital Pte. Ltd. and Glencore Asian Holdings Pte. Ltd.
  • Acted for a consortium comprising of APG Asset Management N.V (APG) and a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) on their investment in the Trans Java Toll Road sections of Kanci-Pejagan and Pejagan-Pemalang in Indonesia, alongside the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA).
  • Advised Kewalram Chanrai Group on the sale of its 100% interest in EcoOils Group (EcoOils), a waste oil recycling business, to Shell Eastern Petroleum.
  • Acted as lead counsel to Navis Capital Partners on the strategic sale of dzcard Group to TOPPAN Security. dzcard is Southeast Asia’s leading fully integrated secure payment and smart card solution provider headquartered in Bangkok, with operations across six countries.
