Jack McCann
Biography
Jack is an associate in the Corporate M&A Practice Group of Baker McKenzie’s London office. Since joining the Firm as a paralegal in the Belfast office in 2018 and then re-joining the Firm in London as a trainee solicitor in 2022, Jack has acted on a number of complex cross-border transactions. In 2024, Jack was seconded to Baker McKenzie’s New York office.
Practice Focus
Jack’s practice focuses on cross-border M&A and multijurisdictional carve-out transactions as well as intra-group cross-border reorganisations, legal entity rationalisation programmes and advising clients on English corporate law issues
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised Walgreens Boots Alliance on the carve-out and reorganization aspects of its approximate USD 23.7 billion acquisition by Sycamore Partners.
- Advised Sika AG on its EUR 5.3 billion acquisition of MBCC from LoneStar, including the sale and carve-out of the remedy divestment of its MBS business to Cinven.
- Advised New Mountain Capital on the carve-out acquisition of PerkinElmer's Applied Food and Enterprise Services business for up to USD 2.45 billion across 35 jurisdictions.
- Advised Natura Cosméticos on the pre-completion reorganizational aspects relating to the following:
- The sale of Avon International's operations in Central America and the Dominican Republic
- The sale of Avon International’s business in Europe, Africa and Asia
- The chapter 11 proceedings of Natura's non-operational subsidiary, Avon Products, Inc.
