
Ying Li
Biography
Ying Li is a Senior Immigration Specialist in our Global Immigration and Mobility Group based in London. She joined the firm in 1998 and has over 20 years immigration experience. Ying advises multinational companies on UK business immigration, nationality and related European law and she leads the China practice within the Firm's Global Immigration & Mobility team in the London office.
Ying is listed as a key lawyer in Legal 500.
Practice Focus
Ying advises on all aspects of corporate immigration law in particular on the day to day management of the Sponsor Licence System, sponsor compliance and mock audits as well as work visas and nationality matters.
She also provides support internally for the growing number of international transfers and temporary assignments within the firm and has specialist knowledge of the Temporary Worker - Government Authorized Exchange scheme.
Ying provides training to corporate organisations on all aspects of sponsorship compliance and right to work issues and presents at seminars and webinars for the firm's global clients.

- Advised a global technology company with their UK inbound immigration matters and developed and implemented a bespoke immigration portal for them to help the business streamline their initiation process.
- Acting for a global electronics company and advising on all aspects of UK immigration law and recently assisting with the transfer to their Managing Director to the UK.
- Advised large global company who urgently had to transfer a number of employees to the UK due to geopolitical situation
- Particular expertise on advising clients in the technology, manufacturing, electronics and retail sectors.
