Biography

Based in Sydney, Hanna Jung is a senior associate in Baker McKenzie's Australian Immigration and mobility team.

As an integral member of Baker McKenzie's Asia-Pacific Immigration and Mobility group, Hanna closely works with the firm's regional and global immigration mobility leadership teams to develop and implement immigration mobility initiatives and projects.

Hanna regularly authors chapters on Australian immigration law in the firm's regional and global publications.

Practice Focus

With a deep understanding of commercial and operational drivers in businesses, Hanna takes a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to navigate fast paced Australian immigration landscape and deliver commercially practical and timely immigration law solutions.

With a special focus on employment and corporate based immigration law, Hanna assists start-up and established companies across diverse sectors, including banking and finance, energy, healthcare, hospitality, IT, labour hire, manufacturing and retail.

Hanna counsels and represents in immigration auditing and compliance matters, and regularly advises multinational companies on complex immigration and mobility issues inherent in business restructuring and cross-border transfer of employees. She provides direction in developing cross-border mobility and immigration risk management frameworks and policies, and regularly facilitates corporate workshops and training programs on various aspects of Australian immigration law.

Hanna's practice also includes assisting and advising high-net-worth and entrepreneurial individuals who are seeking to migrate to Australia on a temporary or permanent basis under the Business Innovation and Investment visa program, including Business Innovation and Investment, Business Owner and Investor visas.
