Biography

Alejandra is a lawyer who graduated with a specialization degree in Administrative Law from the National University of Colombia. She has experience in dispute resolution, infrastructure, state and private contracting and joined Baker McKenzie in 2022 as an associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, she worked as an associate in the Litigation and Public Law practice groups of a local law firm, advising multiple clients in matters related with telecommunication, transport, natural resources and state contracting. Alejandra also supported national arbitration proceedings involving the participation of public and private entities, primarily in the infrastructure sector. She obtained a specialized certificate for Arbitral Tribunal Secretaries issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.

Furthermore, she has a membership in the Young Arbitration Network of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce.

Practice Focus

Alejandra focuses her practice on dispute resolution by supporting proceedings that involve parties submitted to public and private law, and brought before the civil, administrative, and arbitral courts.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised a public entity of telecommunication sector in the supervision and performance of a project designated to expand the coverage of ICT in the national territory.

  • Advised a mass public transportation company regarding disputes arising from the concession of the collection system.

  • Advised an oil & gas company with regard of a tort liability dispute related to the acquisition of firm transmission capacity.
