Emma Flett
Biography
Emma is an associate in the Baker McKenzie's Dispute Resolution Group based in London. Prior to commencing her training contract in 2020, Emma worked at Baker McKenzie's Belfast office as a legal professional. During her training contract, Emma spent six months at Baker McKenzie's Dubai office and assisted with a number of Dubai-seated arbitrations and litigation in the DIFC Courts.
Emma's practice includes a broad spectrum of disputes, including commercial litigation, international arbitration and investigations, with a recent focus on matters within the regulatory, public law and media space.
Representative Legal Matters
- Acting for a wealth management group in a pre-action disclosure in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Court.
- Acting for a Kuwaiti education management company for a breach of warranty valued at c.USD 16 million in the DIFC Court.
- Supporting a multinational pharmaceutical company in connection with an audit review and compliance with industry regulations.
- Advising clients across a range of industry sectors, including pharmaceutical and transportation, under the Public Procurement Regulations.
- Defending a major UK publisher in a group action pursued by high-profile claimants alleging misuse of private information.
- Acting pro bono for the Good Law Project in a successful judicial review of the Government's Net Zero Strategy.
