Biography

Francesca is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team based in London. Francesca has experience acting for parties on a broad range of commercial litigation, investigations and international arbitration.

Francesca joined Baker McKenzie as a trainee solicitor and qualified into the Dispute Resolution department in September 2024. During her training contract, Francesca was seconded to the North America Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice Group in the Baker McKenzie New York office. During her secondment, Francesca worked with teams in New York, Washington, Chicago and Miami on a range of civil litigation and white-collar investigations.

Francesca maintains an active pro bono practice. She has advised charities on human rights including, rights and remedies available under international law and acted for individual pro bono clients on claims of violations of US constitutional rights.

Francesca is also an active member of the BakerWomen London Steering Committee.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acting for an international bank in connection with a USD 5 billion civil fraud claim brought in the English and Abu Dhabi Global Markets courts.
  • Representing a well-known consumer goods company in relation to high profile litigation in the English courts regarding allegations of forced labor in its overseas supply chain.
  • Acting for the joint administrators of an insurance group in the US on claims of misappropriation and embezzlement by its founders. 
  • Acted for a UK based hotel group against complex whistleblowing claim (detriment and dismissal claims) involving a family/shareholder dispute.
  • Advised a global human rights organization on the rights and remedies available under international law following breaches of fundamental reproductive rights.
  • Advised various pro bono clients on breaches of fundamental constitutional rights, including violations of First and Eighth Amendment rights.
