Biography

Owen is an associate in the Real Estate team in Dubai. He is an English qualified lawyer advising on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition and disposal of real estate investments, real estate aspects of financings and corporate transactions, hospitality and branded residence projects, landlord and tenant matters, and large scale development work across the office, retail, hospitality, student accommodation and industrial sectors.

Owen has extensive experience advising developers, institutional landlords, private equity funds and public investors on high value and complex real estate transactions across the GCC and multiple jurisdictions.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acting for the LVMH Group on retail asset management matters across the GCC.
  • Advising Jingdong Properties on its logistics real estate portfolio across the GCC.
  • Acting for Diriyah Company on the structuring and delivery of its hotel, branded residence and F&B portfolio across multiple landmark developments in Diriyah, KSA.
  • Advising Royal Development Company on a suite of branded residential projects across Abu Dhabi, including Autograph Collection, Radisson and Rotana Residences on Reem Island.
  • Acting for Emirates Developments on high‑profile branded residences in Abu Dhabi, including Jumeirah Maryah Island Residences, Elie Saab Residences and other confidential flagship projects.
  • Advising owners on complex hotel and branded residence agreements with leading global operators including Hilton, Marriott, Minor Hotels, IHG and Accor.
  • Represented the buyer on the acquisition of the Revier Hotel, Business Bay, Dubai.
  • Acted for the seller on the sale of a 280-key hotel in central London.*
  • Advised The Crown Estate on several asset management matters, capital transactions and development projects in respect of its central London property portfolio.*
  • Acted for a global investment bank on their sale of a 100,000,000+ GBP logistics portfolio.*
  • Acted for a global private equity fund on their acquisition of a 100,000,000+ GBP science park in rural England.*
