Marion de Galembert
Biography
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Marion worked for nearly four years in the Life Sciences department of an international law firm in Paris. Marion was also seconded for nearly two years to the global Manufacturing and Supply legal department of a major international pharmaceutical group, where she worked on a cross-border carve-out transaction.
Practice Focus
Marion advises French and international healthcare and life sciences companies in the sector (e.g. pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, CROs/CMOs, biotechs/medtechs) throughout the entire lifecycle of health products and services, from R&D to commercialization.
Her practice focuses on transactional and regulatory issues in the healthcare industry. She advises on the negotiation and drafting of strategic contracts (e.g. development, manufacturing, licensing and distribution agreements), as well as on regulatory issues specific to the healthcare sector, such as clinical trials, market access, promotion and advertising, contracts and general compliance issues (e.g. transparency and anti-gift / DMOS devices). She is also involved in life sciences transactional deals.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised pharmaceutical group Servier on the acquisition of KER-0193, a potential treatment for Fragile X syndrome (FXS), the most common genetic cause of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) from the biotechnology company Kaerus Bioscience.
- Advised Warburg Pincus on its strategic entry into the capital of Sebia, a French medical diagnostics company.
