
Elisabet Cots
Biography
Elisabet Cots is a partner with over 15 years of experience in product regulation, environmental and life sciences law.
She advises national and multinational companies on regulatory and commercial matters, with a strong focus on environmental and ESG issues. Her practice includes regulatory compliance, licensing, product design and distribution, and regulatory support for business expansion. She has extensive experience in EU product and environmental regulations, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), greenwashing, and ecodesign, and she regularly represents clients before regulators, authorities, and courts.
In the life sciences sector, Elisabet advises national and international pharmaceutical companies on market access, public procurement, promotion, regulatory and advertising of medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, food and beverages. She has successfully represented clients in numerous administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings -before both the Spanish Supreme Court and National Court- particularly in reference pricing matters. Her expertise includes strategic regulatory and market access planning, negotiations with authorities, and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
Elisabet is ranked in Chambers Europe as an "Associate to Watch.” She is also a professor at Pompeu Fabra University and UPF Barcelona School of Management in the field of Public Law. She regularly participates in publications and articles related to her specialty.

Corporate Responsibility
From the beginning, we in Baker McKenzie have participated in different Corporate Social Responsibility programs. The most recent, coinciding with our 25th anniversary in Barcelona, is the pro bono advice agreement with and donation to the Sant Joan de Déu Charitable Organization.
Other outstanding projects are the agreement to create and advise the Liceu Barcelona Opera House US Foundation and regular contributions to the Food Bank.
