Simon Bullock
Biography
Simon is a corporate partner based in London and a member of Baker McKenzie’s Capital Markets and Corporate Finance teams.
Before joining Baker McKenzie, Simon was head of Equity Capital Markets at another international law firm.
Practice Focus
Simon has extensive experience of representing issuers, underwriters, and major shareholders on primary and secondary equity capital markets transactions. This includes advising on initial public offerings (IPOs), rights issues, open offers, placings and accelerated bookbuild offerings. He also regularly advises on other corporate finance transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions and disposals, frequently on a cross-border basis.
Simon is a leading adviser to listed companies on a broad range of corporate governance matters, such as compliance with UK Listing Rules (UKLRs) and other securities laws, directors’ duties, board effectiveness, internal procedures and controls, corporate reporting and investor engagement. He works with international corporates, investment banks, private equity clients and other shareholders and investors across multiple sectors including real estate, technology, fintech, energy and infrastructure, mining, life sciences and financial services, amongst many others.

- Advised Rockhopper Exploration on its equity fundraising and equity warrants issuance.
- Advised Time Out Group on its IPO, multiple equity fundraisings, equity warrants, convertible loan notes, debt and equity refinancings and various other corporate transactions.
- Advised London and Australia-listed Adriatic Metals on various equity placings.
- Advised the underwriters on the demerger, IPO and dual listing of Bytes Technology Group on the London Stock Exchange and Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
- Advised Tritax Big Box REIT on a series of equity fundraisings, its all-share merger with UK Commercial Property and on the acquisition of a portfolio of real estate logistics assets from Brookfield.
- Advised the underwriters on the London IPO of the Foresight Group, an independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager.
- Advised London-listed boohoo group (now Debenhams) on its equity placing.
- Advised the underwriters on the IPO of Countryside Properties.
- Advised Interserve on its debt and equity refinancing package.
- Advised the underwriters on the IPO of Sabre Insurance.
- Advised Softcat on its IPO.
- Advised the underwriters on the proposed demerger of O2 from Telefonica and IPO of the O2 business.
