Before joining Baker McKenzie, Hien handled the following matters:

• Led various projects as in-house general counsel for a leading logistics and industrial real estate platform in Vietnam, including acquisition of industrial park (involving a bridge loan for acquisition of USD 50 million provided by an international bank), mezzanine corporate loan of USD 250 million (involving group restructuring), joint venture with a global leading logistics platform, sale lease back asset acquisitions, real estate acquisitions of total 500 hectares in various locations in Vietnam, etc.
• Led various real estate acquisitions as in-house general counsel for a major Thailand retail group in Vietnam.
• Acted for a local developer group in the JV transaction with its Korean partner in relation to a 5-hectare water park project in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Acted for the seller on the sale transaction of an office and retail development project in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
• Acted for the seller on the sale transaction of a 7-hectare hotel and resort project in Danang.
• Advised as in-house general counsel on the development of various property assets, including the Nam Hai, Six Senses Con Dao, Indochina Riverside Tower, Indochina Plaza Hanoi, Hyatt Regency Danang and Montgomerie Links Golf Course.
• Advised as in-house general counsel on the divestment of real estate portfolios of 03 real estate private equity funds with total deal size of more than USD 100 million.
