Biography

Lisa Li focuses on real estate financing matters. She represents a mix of lenders and sponsors and has experience across a range of asset types including office assets, shopping centres, hotels, built-to-rent and student housing. She is also experienced with both cross-border and domestic transactions.

Lisa is qualified in New Zealand. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Lisa was a member of the Finance team at Herbert Smith Freehills.

  • Advising Meyer Bergman on the financing of a pan-European portfolio of logistics assets

  • Advising a consortium on the acquisition and financing of a Canary Wharf office tower.

  • Advising Brookfield Properties on the acquisition, financing and refinancing of the CityPoint Tower, London.

  • Advising Morgan Stanley on the facilities made available to M7 for its acquisition of a portfolio of Polish properties.

  • Advising a club of lender on the facilities made available to Cerberus for its acquisition of an 80% stake in a portfolio of Spanish REOs from BBVA.

  • Advising Hammerson on its joint venture and financing in respect of the Highcross shopping centre.

  • Advising Brookfield Real Estate Finance Fund on the mezzanine facilities made available to CIT for its acquisition and mixed-use development of the Finsbury Tower, London.
