Laura Alzueta
Biography
Laura Alzueta is a team leader in Baker McKenzie’s Madrid office and a member of the Employment Practice Group. With over 10 years of experience in labor advisory services at both national and international levels, Laura has advised numerous companies on all employment-related aspects of their operations, providing strategic counseling. Her expertise enables her to provide comprehensive guidance on labor matters, whether they involve local or multinational issues, with a deep understanding of her clients' challenges. Laura also has extensive experience in investigations and in advising employers on compliance with applicable labor regulations affecting their operations. She is member of the EMEA Investigations Working Group.
Additionally, Laura has significant expertise in coordinating complex, multi-jurisdictional and cross-practice projects. Also she advises clients on all types of labor matters, both individual (especially those involving executives) and collective. This includes hiring, compensation and benefits; expatriations, collective bargaining negotiations, and strategic advisory, as well as the labor aspects of mergers and acquisitions and the negotiation of restructurings, including workforce reductions and changes to working conditions.
In the area of collective labor matters, Laura represents clients in all types of negotiations with employee representatives, unions, and labor authorities. She also represents clients before the labor courts and tribunals in all types of proceedings.
