Ghazal Al Hawwari

Ghazal is a commercial lawyer with a focus on International Commercial & Trade. Her practice focuses on regulatory matters, commercial transactions, distribution and agency agreements, trade compliance, export control, trade sanctions and customs matters.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Ghazal gained experience at a leading international law firm in the UK.

• Assisted a global dermatology company in the drafting of a settlement agreement and entry into new engagement terms with its existing distributor in the Middle East and drafted the related agreements.

• Advised a global media and entertainment client on compliance with Saudi franchise regulations, including disclosure obligations and drafting of a branded retail franchise agreement.

• Advised Pharmaceuticals and MedTech companies on regulatory matters.

• Advised on customs regulations relating to different types of products and advised on related governmental approvals.

• Supported companies in navigating sustainability and climate change regulations, with a focus on compliance with new and evolving legal requirements.

• Drafted and revised a range of commercial agreements, including franchise agreements, distribution agreements, purchase agreements, product lease agreements, and settlement agreements, across multiple industries, with attention to applicable regulatory requirements.

• Assisted with conducting and drafting commercial due diligence reports for transactions.
