On 29 May 2026, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) published an Information Paper on Risk Management Practices for Fund Management Companies ("Paper"). The Paper may be viewed here.
The Paper outlines the MAS' supervisory expectations for effective governance structures, frameworks, policies and procedures (P&Ps), and controls for overseeing and managing Fund Management Companies' (FMCs) investment process. These expectations are based on key findings from thematic inspections of selected FMCs' investment process across a range of investment strategies, including those conducted by external auditors appointed by MAS.
