Biography

Anna Zellweger is a member of the International Trade Practice Group at Baker McKenzie's Zurich office. She graduated from the University of Zurich in 2021, having previously also studied at the University of St. Gallen and the Saint Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics. Subsequently she joined the Firm as a trainee lawyer and re-joined as an associate in 2024, after having been admitted to the Swiss bar. Additionally, Anna previously build a strong foundation in public (international) law and trade matters by working for various international as well as non-governmental organizations. She also completed part of her legal training at a reputable law firm focused on arbitration.

Practice Focus

Anna focuses on international, European and Swiss law governing international trade compliance and sustainability. Anna advises clients on internal compliance systems, sanctions and embargo regimes, export control law, foreign investment reviews, and customs matters. She has a particular interest in ESG-related topics and offers legal guidance in this area, including assessing and enhancing corporate due diligence processes and reporting procedures in line with Swiss and international ESG standards and regulations.
