Jemima Webster
Biography
Jemima is an associate in the Employment & Compensation Department of Baker McKenzie’s London office. She joined Baker McKenzie as a trainee in 2022 and qualified as an associate and was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2024.
Before joining Baker McKenzie, Jemima worked in the in-house Legal team of a global marketing data and analytics company during an internal restructuring.
While with Baker McKenzie, Jemima completed a six-month client secondment within the EMEA Employment Legal team of a major international financial services company.
Practice Focus
Jemima advises global clients on a broad range of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious, across a range of sectors.
Representative Legal Matters
Since joining the Employment department, Jemima has worked on a variety of matters including:
- Providing day-to-day employment advice on key areas such as employment contracts, policies, termination and settlement discussions and grievances, and coordinating global employment projects.
- Assisting in the defence of discrimination, constructive and unfair dismissal, breach of contract and whistleblowing claims.
- Advising on large scale carve outs, involving complex and multijurisdictional employment issues, as well as undertaking UK-side employment due diligence on acquisitions of businesses and advising on employee transfers.
