Po Tsai
Biography
Po is a senior associate in the Corporate Markets Practice Group in Baker McKenzie's office in Melbourne. He advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters both internationally and domestically, including M&A, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, company incorporation and company secretarial matters. Po also has a background in advising infrastructure companies (particularly telecommunications carriers and service providers) on technology-related M&A and general regulatory advice.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised Superloop on its 100% acquisition of Uecomm dark fibre business from Optus.
- Advised 7-Eleven International LLC on its AUD 1.71 billion acquisition of 7-Eleven Australia.
- Advised Hysata, an Australian green hydrogen electrolyser manufacturer, on the largest series B clean tech fund raise in Australia (AUD 172 million), led by bp Ventures and Templewater.
- Advised 2degrees on the NZD 1.076 billion sale of its passive cell phone tower assets to mobile tower company Connexa.
- Advised the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan on its local acquisition of Australian fruit supplier Montague Farms.
- Advised Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and Aware Super on the New Zealand aspects of its acquisition of Vocus Group for AUD 3.5 billion.
- Advised on the AUD 1.7 billion merger of Orcon (formerly Vocus NZ) and 2degrees.
