Biography
Jessica Steele is an associate in the Commercial, Regulatory and Technology team in London. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Jessica was part of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team at ENSafrica in South Africa, where she qualified as a lawyer in 2021.
Practice Focus
Jessica's practice covers a range of commercial, regulatory, technology and communications matters. Jessica advises on the contractual aspects of commercial and consumer agreements and has been involved in drafting both domestic and international IT and commercial agreements. She has also advised on complex telecommunications and regulatory issues, and has otherwise also been involved in a number of corporate transactions.

- Supported the negotiation of a manufacturing and supply agreement in connection with a pharmaceutical company’s divestment to an international healthcare group in 2024, relating to the supply of products into China and wider Asia‑Pacific markets.
- Advised on the negotiation of an exclusive EMEA distribution agreement between a global medical devices company and a China‑based distributor, covering the distribution of urology products across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advising on, drafted and negotiated a variety of commercial and technology agreements, including services, supply and distribution, franchising, transitional services, outsourcing, software development, SaaS, and licensing agreements.
- Advising a large multinational company on consumer regulation in respect of United Kingdom and European expansion.
- Advising a variety of clients on UK and EU consumer laws and platform regulation.
