Biography

Hannah is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution group at Baker McKenzie, Sydney.

Hannah has established herself as a leading advisor to organisations that have experienced cyber incidents internationally, assisting them to navigate largescale, complex attacks through coordination of forensics, operations, legal, regulatory and law enforcement engagement, communications, insurance and threat intelligence.

Practice Focus

Hannah acts in complex disputes in relation to data protection, data breach, defamation, cybersecurity, misleading and deceptive conduct, breach of confidence, media and technology.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised an ASX100 in the technology sector following a cross-border data extortion event, coordinating the response across multiple international offices.
  • Coordinated the response to a national multi-party data breach affecting hundreds of thousands of individuals, simultaneously advising eight impacted organisations in the charity and not-for-profit sector.
  • Produced a data breach response plan and ransom decision-making framework for an ASX10.
  • Delivered a complex cyber simulation to an ASX100 which considered whole-of-business strategy and response in the event of a cyberattack impacting sensitive personal and commercial information.
  • Delivered tailored cyber incident response training to the executives, board and staff of an ASX50.

  • Violence Against Children – Hannah is involved in a project examining the legal protections, policies and practices available to prevent and address children from violence in many different forms.
