Priya Shah
Biography
Priya is a senior associate in Baker McKenzie's Corporate M&A practice in London and advises on a wide range of corporate transactions, including private M&A, carve-outs and reorganisations, joint ventures, equity fundraisings and general corporate advisory work. Priya has broad cross-sector experience covering the consumer, healthcare, industrials, manufacturing and technology sectors. She is an active member of the Firm’s Global India Practice Group and champions the Firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives including the London race and ethnicity committee, BakerEthnicity.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in 2023, Priya spent a year advising Revolut on corporate legal matters and maintains a specific interest in the UK fintech sector. Priya trained and qualified at a Magic Circle firm and has previously worked in London and Singapore.

Recent transactions in which Priya has been involved include:
- Advising Tata Autocomp Systems, part of the Tata Sons group, on its acquisition of IAC Slovakia through its subsidiary, Artifex Interior Systems.
- Advising Reckitt Benckiser Group on the pre-completion carve-out of its Essential Home business, to be majority sold to Advent International for up to USD 4.8 billion.
- Advising Coats Group on its acquisition of OrthoLite for USD 770 million.
- Advised Tata Autocomp Systems on its majority acquisition of Artifex Interior Systems from Jaguar Land Rover.
- Advised Mayfair Equity Partners on its EUR 35 million series B investment into BizAway, a technology scale-up active in corporate travel management.
- Advised Haleon the sale of its global (ex-US) smoking cessation business to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories for GBP 500 million.
- Advised Accenture on its acquisition of GemSeek Consulting, a Bulgarian-headquartered market research consultancy.
- Advised ZZCM Investments on the signing and completion of an investment agreement with Abu Dhabi’s mining champion International Resources Holding (IRH) under which IRH commits to invest USD 1.1 billion into Mopani Copper Mines, one of Zambia’s most important copper mining operations.
- Advised Newly Weds Foods, a food products company operating in over 90 countries, on its USD 4 billion plus sale to Redwood Holdings.
- Advised Accenture on its acquisition of the 6point6 group, a leading UK-based digital technology consultancy.
Corporate Responsibility
- Advising Women for Women International, an international charity that supports women survivors of war, on its template commercial partnership agreements with private sector corporate fundraisers.
- Previously worked for Advocates for International Development, a global charity that provides an international pro bono brokerage service connecting law firms with charities requiring SDG-focused pro bono assistance.
