Biography

Sophie Schubert is a senior associate at Baker McKenzie and a member of the Corporate Practice Group in Vienna. She joined Baker McKenzie’s Vienna office in August 2014.

Practice Focus

Sophie advises domestic and international clients on corporate restructurings, corporate reorganizations, M&A transactions and all aspects of general corporate law. Furthermore, she assists clients in a broad range of compliance and dispute resolution matters, including internal investigations.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised an international bank located in Zurich in connection with compliance investigations.

  • Advised a client in a post-M&A arbitration procedure under the Vienna Rules arising out of an investment on the Croatian coast.

  • Advised Knowles Corporation on its legal restructuring projects.

  • Advised a German multinational automotive corporation in connection with the acquisition of the financial services business of Wiesenthal group.

  • Advised a Japanese multinational conglomerate in connection with the disposal of its 76% stake in cyberGRID GmbH.

  • Advised Rite Hite in connection with the acquisition of all shares in Stöcklin GmbH.
