Arya Salehi
Biography
Arya Salehi is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Tax Practice Group, based in the Firm's Dallas office. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Arya was an associate in the state and local tax group of a boutique law firm working primarily with taxpayers to resolve state tax controversies.
Practice Focus
Arya focuses his practice on a full range of multistate and local tax matters across the US, including litigation, controversy, audit defense, planning, and mergers and acquisitions.
He has deep experience with a variety of state and local taxes, including income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, oil production, and transfer taxes.
He regularly represents clients during audit, through administrative appeals, and in court. He also advises clients on the state and local tax impact of major acquisitions and dispositions that often feature international tax implications.
