Tim Robben
Biography
Tim Robben is a senior associate of Baker McKenzie's Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Dusseldorf.
Tim pursues his passion for resolving disputes at Baker McKenzie since 2022. He first concentrated on international dispute resolution during his university studies and later, during his legal clerkship, gained experience in commercial and corporate disputes as well as international arbitration at various international law firms.
Tim regularly holds workshops at universities on the topic of legal writing.

He has extensive experience in disputes in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors, with a particular focus on large-scale, complex software and transformation projects, IT outsourcing, and data centers.

- Represented and advised an international IT company in a legal dispute over claims from a failed software project for ERP-software in the manufacturing sector. At the core of the dispute stood the interpretation of the scope of work of the IT outsourcing company.
- Currently represents and advises an international IT company in a legal dispute over claims from a large-scale IT transformation project in the telecommunications sector.
- Currently represents and advises an international IT company in a legal dispute over claims arising from an FSM-software project in the telecommunications sector.
- Currently represents and advises an international IT company in a legal dispute over claims from a failed software project in the public administration sector. At the core of the dispute is the interpretation of the scope of work and an extensive evidentiary hearing concerning the condition of the software.
- Currently represents and strategically advises an international company in the mobility sector regarding several aspects of its current IT outsourcing setup, especially its data center activities.
- Regularly represents international IT companies in claim management matters.
- Represented and advised an international facility management company against a software company in a dispute over claims from a failed software project in the service sector. The principal cancelled the development project after various failed attempts by the contractor to complete the functional design documents and after a severe delay.
- Defended a software company against claims from an outsourcing services provider.
- Advised investors in a dispute with a company in the crypto industry after an ICO (Initial Coin Offering).
- Advised a pharmaceutical company in a dispute against the manufacturer of a defective machine for the production of reagents.
- Advised a construction and manufacturing company in a dispute over an agricultural construction project.
- Represents and advises a company in the chemical industry in a complex construction dispute.
