Andrea Rivers
Biography
Andrea Rivers is a member of the Firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice Group, based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Andrea was an associate at a specialist antitrust law firm, counseling clients across multiple industries in civil litigation, government investigations, and merger review. During law school, Andrea worked as a legal intern for the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Competition, Anticompetitive Practices Division as well as a legal intern to the Antitrust, Commercial & Administrative Law Subcommittee of the US House Committee on the Judiciary and the Special Prosecutions Unit (for crimes dealing with economic loss) of the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Andrea currently serves as the North America co-chair of the Firm’s Black Alliance for Networking & Advancement (BANA) and maintains an active pro bono practice. She is also a member of the Firm's Global Merger Control Task Force and North America Associate Committee.
Practice Focus
Andrea routinely advises global clients across industries in antitrust compliance, merger review, and investigations as well as commercial litigation. Her representations span a broad range of industries including, among others, aerospace and defense, agriculture and food processing, automotive, construction, quick-service restaurant (with a focus on franchisors), fashion and luxury goods, finance, general manufacturing, global technology and digital services, healthcare, and medical devices.
