Biography

Andrea Rivers is a member of the Firm's North America Antitrust & Competition Practice Group, based in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Andrea was an associate at a specialist antitrust law firm, counseling clients across multiple industries in civil litigation, government investigations, and merger review. During law school, Andrea worked as a Legal Intern for the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Competition, Anticompetitive Practices Division as well as a Legal Intern to the Antitrust, Commercial & Administrative Law Subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary and the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office.

Andrea currently serves as the North America co-chair of the Firm's Black Alliance for Networking & Advancement (BANA) and maintains an active pro bono practice.

Practice Focus

Andrea routinely advises clients across industries in antitrust compliance, merger reviews, and government investigations as well as complex commercial litigation. Her representations span a broad range of industries including, among others, aerospace and defense, agricultural and food processing, automotive, construction, quick-service restaurant (with a focus on franchisors), fashion and luxury goods, finance, general manufacturing, healthcare, medical devices, security services, and tech.
