Mathieu Raas
Biography
Mathieu Raas is legal director in our IP Tech & Commercial Contracts practice group.
Mathieu is a senior commercial and regulatory lawyer who advises tech driven and consumer facing businesses at the intersection of EU and Dutch regulation, commercial contracting and disputes. Drawing on extensive disputes experience, he advises with due regard to how risks materialise in practice. Mathieu works in close alignment with in house professionals, supporting effective integrated decision making.
Practice Focus
Mathieu’s practice spans three main areas. He advises tech and retail businesses on compliance with new EU regulatory frameworks and represents them in disputes. He further supports clients on commercial contracting in support of business driven initiatives and in response to regulatory or operational developments. Finally, he advises on online customer journeys and terms and conditions against the backdrop of EU and Dutch consumer law.
