Biography

Filip Peric is head of Baker McKenzie’s Real Estate Practice in Vienna. He graduated from the University of Vienna and the University of Bologna. Before joining Baker McKenzie in May 2021, Filip gained extensive experience in the real estate team at a prominent international law firm, working in both Vienna and Frankfurt.

Practice Focus

Filip focuses on real estate transactions, asset management, and commercial lease agreements, with a particular emphasis on leasing industrial, office, and retail space. He also advises leading luxury hotel brands on hotel management agreements within the Austrian market. In addition, he has been advising on international M&A transactions, in particular private equity transactions, as well as other general corporate law matters and commercial contracts.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised an international technology group on construction and engineering contracts with scope on the Austrian market.
  • Advising various luxury hotel operators on hotel management and hotel lease agreements in Austria.
  • Advise of a global franchisor in relation to various sales and acquisitions of tourist facilities in Austria.
  • Advising LMEY Investments AG in relation to the sale of the Aldiana Club Resort in Austria to DER Touristik Hotels & Resorts (REWE Group).
  • Advised on the purchase of a shopping center located in Salzburg's city center by large German fund.
  • Advised a leading Austrian bank on real estate transactions and the development of new office and infrastructure property.
  • Advised on lease of real estate with regard to medical research, located in Heidelberg, Germany.
  • Advised several international retail groups on lease agreements and on the expansion of the branch network in Austria and the CEE region.
