Biography

Federico Palma has been a member of the Firm since 2022 and is part of the practice groups of Corporate Law (M&A/PE) and Banking & Finance. He advises local and international clients on corporate, finance and regulatory matters, and emerging technologies.

Federico began working as a law clerk, and was promoted to Associate at the Firm. He is the coordinator of the local Pro Bono Practice; and has been a teacher assistant of Administrative Law and Contract Law at Universidad Catolica Andres Bello since 2023.

Practice Focus

Federico advises clients in corporate, finance and regulatory matters, focusing on corporate transactions, corporate governance, structured finance, and financial technologies. He is involved in both local and international markets, providing legal advice to local and international clients in multiple transactions.

Federico has advised clients on multiple corporate matters such as corporate reorganizations, changes of ownership, incorporations, and capitalizations. Additionally, he has counseled companies on FinTech regulations and their implementation in local markets, in matters such as crypto assets, e-wallets, and API’s.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised Johnson & Johnson on the local implementation of the global Kenvue spin-off.
  • Advised on data privacy and cybersecurity issues in connection with how to collect, preserve, transfer and handle data privacy information.
  • Advised corporate reorganizations of several international companies.
  • Advised several companies regarding cryptocurrency operation licenses as well as FinTech licenses.
