Alexis Muñoz
Biography
Alexis Muñoz graduated summa cum laude from Universidad de Chile Law School in 2021, and joined the Firm's Dispute Resolution Group in Santiago as junior associate in March 2025.
Alexis has been a teaching assistant for private law at Universidad de Chile Law School since 2018, including civil law and private international law courses. Both his practice and academic endeavours have been focused on private law and developments in international dispute resolution mechanisms.
Practice Focus
Alexis focuses on litigation and arbitration, with emphasis on the areas of civil, commercial, and construction matters. He has experience in contractual disputes related to energy and construction projects, ports, technology, insurance, international sales and consumer law, among others, advising both Chilean and international companies.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised a transnational infrastructure company in a domestic dispute regarding extension of time and additional works for an energy construction project.
- Participated in the representation and legal defense of a Chilean airport operator company in a construction arbitration and related insurance and insolvency procedures.
- Participated in the representation of a US bottling company against a Chilean counterpart for contractual breach in international sales dispute, in a US seated arbitration.
- Participated in the representation of a Chilean company in a software dispute against a US software company for breach of contract, in a US seated arbitration.
- Advised a Chilean port company in negotiations with its operator, regarding breaches of contract and contract modification.
