Biography

Agnese joined Baker McKenzie in March 2022 as a trainee solicitor. During her training contract in London, she spent six months as a secondee in the Employment and Disputes department of the legal team of a large global bank. She subsequently qualified as an associate and was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in March 2024.

Practice Focus

Agnese advises clients on a wide range of domestic and international employment law matters across a range of industries. She manages the employment aspects of multijurisdictional transactions and advises on employment-related investigations and disputes, provides day-to-day HR advice and advises on global employment projects. 

Representative Legal Matters

Transactions - Advising on large-scale acquisitions and carve-outs on both buy and sell side. Representative matters include:

  • Advising Medtronic plc on the employment aspects of the carve-out and spin-off of their diabetes business, MiniMed Group, Inc. which was listed on Nasdaq on 6 March 2026, and was valued at over USD 5.3 billion at the close of the first day trading.
  • Advising Coats Group plc, a world leading industrial thread and footwear components manufacturer, on the employment aspects of its acquisition of OrthoLite Holdings LLC for an enterprise value of USD 770m
  • Advising Kantar Group, a leading global market research company based in London and portfolio company of Bain Capital, on the employment aspects of its proposed sale of Kantar Media to H.I.G. Capital, a leading global alternative investment firm, for USD 1 billion.
  • Advising a global private equity firm on the employment aspects of its circa USD 2 billion acquisition of a financial markets technology business through a complex international carve‑out, and supporting the newly created portfolio company.
  • Advising a global private equity firm on the employment aspects of its majority investment in an international industrial automation business, and the subsequent bolt-on acquisition of a different automation provider by the new portfolio company.

Advisory - Providing day-today employment advice on key issues such as redundancy, grievance and disciplinary processes, preparing and negotiating settlement terms, as well as coordinating multijurisdictional advice across a broad spectrum of issues.

  • Agnese has worked on large-scale redundancy projects for professional services and tech clients, including advising on information and consultation requirements and negotiating settlement agreements.
  • While on secondment to the Employment and Disputes department of the legal team of a large global bank, advised the company's Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits teams on the management of long-term leave cases, changes to benefits programmes, non-financial misconduct and compliance with regulatory requirements across EMEA.

Litigation - Assisting in the defence of a wide array of employment litigation for clients in a range of sectors, including experience in advising on discrimination, unfair dismissal and equal pay litigation, with a particular focus on financial services and tech clients.
