Hamish McCormack
Biography
Hamish advises sponsors, borrowers and financial institutions on a wide range of complex financing transactions, specialising in leveraged financings and handling complex liability management and "special situation" exercises.
In addition, Hamish advises institutional lenders, hedge funds, private equity funds and corporations in negotiating derivative and repurchase agreements, as well as other trading and financing documentation and complex structured financial products.
Hamish has extensive experience in the Asian, North American and European markets and has acted as lead counsel on many market-leading transactions, including three Deals of the Year. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Hamish practiced for seven years in the United States, where he was a partner at an elite US firm. Hamish is a member of the Baker McKenzie Global Acquisition Finance Steering Committee and the Baker McKenzie Global Derivatives Steering Committee.
