Biography

Harry Martin is an associate in the Employment & Compensation Department of Baker McKenzie in London. He joined Baker McKenzie in February 2026 having spent a number of years as an employment lawyer at the Big Four advising clients on the legal side of HR. Harry qualified as a solicitor in September 2020.

Practice Focus

Harry advises clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters throughout Great Britain. He has considerable experience advising on global employment law projects and coordinating multijurisdictional advice, working alongside international teams to support global businesses. Harry also regularly supports clients on complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations and TUPE implementation.

Harry advises clients in a range of sectors but has particular experience assisting clients in the financial services and TMT sectors.

  • Advising multinational employers on day-to-day employment law issues, including disciplinary and grievance matters, dismissals, settlement agreements, employment contracts, and discrimination claims.
  • Coordinating multijurisdictional employment law advice and delivering global projects for international clients.
  • Conducting workplace investigations into grievances, misconduct allegations and employee complaints, including interviewing witnesses and preparing investigation reports.
  • Supporting clients on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including employment due diligence, workforce integration planning and TUPE matters.
  • Advising on large-scale restructuring and redundancy projects, including complex workforce reduction exercises involving multiple jurisdictions.
  • Supporting clients on collective employment law matters, including trade union and employee representative issues.
