Liliane Leißer
Biography
Lili Leißer is a junior associate in Baker McKenzie’s Commercial Team in Vienna. Prior to joining the Firm in March 2026, she gained professional experience in several companies, with a focus on the practical implementation of data protection and compliance within organisations, as well as on advisory work and alternative dispute resolution with a focus on telecommunications and consumer protection law. She completed her court practice as a judicial clerk at the Higher Regional Court of Vienna.
She studied law at the University of Vienna and holds a certification as a Certified Data Protection Officer. In addition, she completed training required to qualify as a registered mediator, with eligibility for formal registration as of December 2026.
Lili has gained substantial international experience in digital and consumer related policy matters, including internet governance, through her long standing involvement in EU level initiatives, including participation in international youth delegations and advisory forums.

Representative Legal Matters
- Representing a software company in various civil proceedings before Austrian civil courts in connection with an alleged violation of gambling law by loot boxes.
- Defending telecommuncations provider in mass data subject access request claims in front of the Austrian Data Protection Authority in both, mass complaint proceedings as well as administrative penal proceedings.
- Advising a credit agency in administrative proceedings before the Austrian Data Protection Authority and civil proceedings in various Austrian civil courts relating to alleged infringements of data subject rights.
