Joanna Lees
Biography
Joanna is an associate in our Corporate Group based in London. Her practice focuses on a wide variety of general corporate matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, and acquisitions and divestments by private equity and private clients.
Joanna completed a six-month secondment to McKinsey & Company in London from February to July 2024.
Representative Legal Matters
- Advised Lyft on its acquisition of TBR Global Chauffeuring, one of the world’s most respected names in luxury chauffeuring, in a USD 110 million all-cash transaction.
- Advised Calera Capital on its acquisition of ReVamp Companies, a leading provider of specialty floor and surface coatings, fencing, and decking services for single-family homeowners.
- Advised Brookfield Asset Management on the global aspects of its USD 1.3 billion acquisition of Antylia Scientific from GTCR.
- Advised KKR on its acquisition and Wella joint venture with Coty for the professional beauty and retail hair business for USD 4.3 billion, a highly complex carve-out across more than 70 countries.
- Advised One Equity Partners on its acquisition (through its portfolio company, Trustmarque) of Livingstone Technologies from Carlyle Europe Technology Partners and management.
- Advised NTT Global Data Centers on its joint venture with Tokyo Century Corporation and Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan's ICT and Postal Services Inc. for the financing and operation of a 14-building, 336 MW data centre campus in Navi Mumbai, India.
- Advised Lyft on its EUR 175 million acquisition of FREENOW.
- Advised Calera Capital on its acquisition of Nocturne Luxury Villas, a leading provider of management and marketing services for short-term rentals of luxury residences.
- Advised Equinix Inc. on its joint venture with GIC in relation to the development and operation of hyperscale data centres in Japan (USD 1 billion).
